Ethiopian Natural Guji, Muda Tatesa
Available in 500g or 1kg.
This an excellent coffee that works well as a pour over or as an espresso.
Expect tropical fruit, banana, and floral notes particularly when made as a pourover.
Espresso tends to bring out the bright acidity, with more crisp green apple notes.
As a espresso brewing guide. I recommend starting out with a typical espresso recipe and then adjust to taste:
Temperature: 92 degrees
Brew ratio 1:2
Ground beans: 18 grams
Brew weight: 36 grams
Extraction time: 25-30 seconds
Remember to always dial in your recipe according to taste.
Coffee constantly changes, especially as it matures and as it is degassing.
Don’t fixate on the numbers. Just experiment, adjust one variable at a time, and find out what works for you.
